Focus mode is one of Orion's differentiating features. But currently it's a bit behind the scene, difficult to access and difficult to manage.

I suggest the following improvements:

  • Add a toolbar button. Alternatively, add the possibility of adding several programmable buttons
  • Add a function to view all open tabs by clicking on the Focus tablet, either with a link to the page displaying all windows (option 1) or with a popup displaying all open tabs (option 2)
  • Add the list of open tabs to the context menu for immediate access (Edit: added)

Can you explain what you mean here?

Add the list of open tabs to the context menu for immediate access

It looks like you are trying to optimize for quick tab access. how about using tab switcher UI for this (control tab) ?

When we designed focus mode we really thought it would be used with just one tab (hence "focus" mode).

Btw this is another great feedback, keep it coming!

I'm the kind of person who doesn't use my keyboard because my other hand serves as a headrest 🙂)

Using focus mode for a single app makes perfect sense. The reason is that sometimes a tab opens from focus mode and I'd like to stay in focus mode and be able to access the new tab at the same time.

I thought that if it wasn't too difficult to add the list of open tabs, this could be an alternative to tab switcher, in this case, and in other scenarios.

Just a thought, but the entire navigation bar could be displayed when the pointer reaches the very top of the active window and stays there + 1 second.

It's perhaps simpler to implement and offers greater flexibility, like deactivate focus mode, change tabs or activate the reader mode for exemple.

HAHA I swear it's true, I've just tried Zen Browser, a newcomer to the browser wars. It's based on Firefox. I tested it a bit and it turns out that they have an equivalent to focus mode and the same option as I suggested. So I was able to test the idea. And it's perfectly functional, in my opinion.

            Which one?

:: What is the video showing?
When the window is in focus mode like, the pointer briefly displays the navigation bar.
