Much easier to explain with an example. In Safari, if I have 3 open tabs and I press cmd+5 (or 6, or 7), I am taken to tab 3 (the last tab). I have developed a habit of pressing cmd+a high number as a shortcut for the last tab, and I find it a very useful features in other browsers (Safari has it for sure but I think firefox does as well).
