outlook.com quite frequently appears not responsive even with compatibility settings on and no tracking blockers. On closer inspection there seems to be a second concurrent issue.
Breakdown:
- you type the URL of outlook.com and the splash screen with the animated blue envelop appears. The envelope doesn't go away however, you're stuck in this screen with the envelope animating. (issue 1 Might be related (or regression of this issue))
- If at that point you try to switch tab in orion (let it load in the background) the newly selected tab content doesn't appear, but intead the outlook.com inbox appears whereas the other tab content was expected (issue 2)
- returning to the outlook.com tab it now renders the post-splashscreen page, but it's frozen - nothing is clickable, neither scrollable (as if the overlay splash screen is still active, but merely hidden).
In the video I demonstrate a few instances of:
- typing the URL and opening outlook.com and waiting different intervals of time in hopes that the splash-screen goes away
- (unsuccessfuly) switching to some other tab while the splash-screen is animating. Clicking a second time on the tab to properly open it.
- trying to switch back to the outlook.com tab and (unsuccessfully) interacting with emails.
In the video I repeat multiple times the experiment, some times outlook.com loads properly, others it exhibits the issue. The video starts with a successful attemp. The black overlay in certain parts of the video is postprocessing to hide personal information.
1) I'd expect outlook.com to properly load
2) I'd expect switching to another tab to properly show that tab.
