Some websites, such as bard.google.com, fail to fetch the favicon and display a white 404 icon (MacOS) or gray box (iOS/iPad). I had tried on all three platforms and have deleted/re-added the bookmark and reinstalled the app.

No favicon would be preferred. The actual favicon would be best. Bard's favicon shows up fine on the beta MacOS version, although RC seems to have fixed other bookmarks that previously had no favicon.

Safari it is able to download the favicon. It looks like the last image.

FYI this appears to have been fixed on the latest (Feb 7th) MacOS RC.

Hey @Vlad, I don't know if you marked this done because it's actually fixed or perhaps you misunderstood my comment.

This is still very much broken on mobile.

On MacOS RC, it only kind of works, still getting a 404 in the tab favicon for some reason:

artemvmin changed the title to Inconsistent favicons .

I found another inconsistency. Here is a favorite for Google Maps that is blatantly using the wrong icon, but shows the correct icon in the edit view.

I didn’t have to do anything special. From the moment I favorited any of the pages described above, the issue was apparent and has persisted to this day.

Vlad On mobile, I’ve noticed the favicons struggle with Bing. I can replicate the error by searching a site on bing and clicking a link. Going back to bing search, the favicon stays the same as the clicked link. The favicon randomly updates to a new one sometimes. Private tabs can cause bings favicon to update even after closing the private tab. Clearing caches fixes the issue until you use a new link on a bing. Hope this helps.
