Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open two Start Page tabs
  2. Attempt to switch between them by switing the address bar
  3. Observe stuttering animations and occasionally some flashing white

Expected result:
Switching between two tabs of any kind should be smooth.
Currently switching between two tabs of any website works as expected but the poor performance starts once Start Pages are added into the mix.

    laiz Can you try disabling favorites on start page to see if this helps?

        Disabling favorites helps significantly but does not completely solve the issue. Displaying frequently visited sites on start page still has some minor stuttering and white artefacts when swiping between two start page tabs.
        Disabling both favorites and frequently visited (i.e. having a completely blank start page) still has the white flashes issue but otherwise the swiping is smooth.

            Just going around the forum finding things that needs to be closed.

            Would you say this issue has generally been fixed? That apparent white flashing that happened long ago when swiping back and forth is no longer present (though the animation is still "choppy" today but not exactly as laggy as it once was.)

              I'd say this is still an issue that should be remedied; swiping between two start page tabs is not as polished as it should be:
