When I expand or collapse the sidebar, it is very sluggish compared to the same website in Safari.
Attaching the video with Capacities website, but I also experience the same on some another websites, e.g. ClickUp.

I would expect browser sidebar to open and close as smoothly as it does in Safari.

asktru Can you please try latest 0.99.126.4.1.4-rc and check if the issue still reproducible?

Sorry for the delayed response. Tried with the latest version (Orion RC 0.99.126.4.1.6-rc), I can see the improvement but it's still not working properly. Here is the screencast.

Cannot share ClickUp screencast because of the proprietary data in it, but I can say that it actually froze for like 3-5 seconds before expanding browser sidebar at first, and now it behaves like this: sidebar expands and collapses smoothly but leaving a black blank rectangle on the right, and then ClickUp UI adapts itself slowly to the updated page width.

asktru Is this reproducible on any public website that you can share URL of?

Vlad capacities.io is free, it is possible to sign up and experiment with this issue yourself. It does not depend on the content of your notes, just register via temporary email and you're done.

If I will see this issue on some other website, I'll let you know. My guess is any complex web app will behave that way.

im noticing/seeing this regression/bug in latest rc. i thought the bug was fixed in previous rc's but it might not have (thus may not be a regression) since i didn't do adequate testing (like the steps to repro below)

              1. open a pdf (https://www.bailii.org/uk/cases/UKSC/2010/52.pdf)
              2. scroll down a few pages (where there is sufficient text, like on page 3 of the pdf linked)
              3. set the width in pdf js to "page width"
              4. open/close the sidebar to see the animation is flawed
noticably setting the width to "page width" is what causes the animation to be flawed for me

Anatomy5803 tried it, and I'd call it "fine" in terms of perfomance on my MacBook Pro M2.

I also tried ClickUp and Capacities on the same device, and while the delay before the animation begins is noticeable, I would call it a decent performance.

Will try on M1 Mac later, but for now for me the issue can be considered resolved 👼
