On brave if you enable speed reader it will detect articles that can be simplified and will do it for you automatically

This already exists. Press shift+command+R. Also, the reader mode icon will appear if it is available for that specific webpage. It is based on Firefox's, although it works for webpages that have over 200,000 words and even more.
Vlad One way is to take the Safari approach: Just make it always shown. Another approach is to fade "Reader mode available" for this website in the address bar whenever reader mode is available. Check IOS Safari. It seems it is not shown on desktop Safari 15.
Fortrikka Safari shows the icon only when the reader mode is available. In order to do that safari has to process the entire page to check that once it is loaded. This a slow process that slows browsing. Our approach is different, we always try to convert to reader mode when user clicks the icon. But we felt that the icon then should not be always visible.
