OmniWeb, which has been my main browser for 27 years (yes, from its NEXTSTEP days), has done so from the beginning, so I was completely convinced almost every browser does because it’s such an obvious feature. But actually, it seems to be one of the many details that make OmniWeb a superior browser, though sadly, its future seems uncertain and it’s a bit of a resource hog.
It’s an absolutely crucial feature for my workflow, as I tend to use the tabs of browser windows as To-Do lists, grouped in windows according to subjects. From my POV, being able to close such a window without any kind of warning is akin to being able to close a document window without being warned that its content is not saved yet.
I also fail to see the logic in being warned before closing the whole app, but not being warned before closing a window.
