This was brought to my attention by someone trying Orion out. As reported by Little Snitch, Orion makes a connection to browser.kagi.com on startup. This is with automatic updates disabled, no search engine, no homepage and no bookmarks set.
I presume this is done to check for updates but if the user disables automatic updating, perhaps the expected behaviour is not to call home at all.
