Allow change to default PDF view

Brief Summary
Give the user the ability to set the default PDF view to something other than Page Width, which is terrible on any screen larger than a small laptop

The summary pretty much says it all. We need to be allowed to set the default PDF view extent.

MacGyverMaps Can you check what it looks like in Firefox and compare? Where would you have this setting?

Firefox is defaulting to "Automatic Zoom" which looks ever so slightly zoomed-in from "Page Fit." I cannot find where they made this setting editable, if they did.

If implemented I would say it should be in the "View" menu.

I'm not sure how Firefox determines what "Automatic Zoom" is, but I would assume it is based upon screen size. I would say "Automatic Zoom" would probably catch most users, but if that isn't an option I think Page Fit, especially for larger monitors, is the way to go.

I second this. Setting the default view to Page Fit is pretty important for large monitors. I have this set in FireFox on my Windows machine and it makes a huge difference.

Vlad The method is in the forum post I linked to. You can change the FireFox default through the Configuration Editor for advanced settings.
