Honcharenko Brief Summary Would be great if I could decide whether I want to disable just JS and images, or only 3rd party fonts. Details: Right now there is only one toggle to block JS, images, fonts.
Honcharenko Vlad I see two options: Add a navigation link to the “Data Saver Mode” in the settings like on the video (made with SwiftUI under 5 minutes, therefore the absence of general UI): Add those options here:
Vlad Honcharenko This would prevent the users from being able to one-tap enable it. We are thinking about this quite a lot. Check https://blog.jim-nielsen.com/2022/website-fidelity-browser/ This is what it may look like Website Fidelity The beauty of data saver is it is straightforward and one tap. I used it when I was out camping and signal was poor.
Honcharenko Vlad I read an article and understand what are you trying to tell, but what if inside a toggle “Data Saver Mode” there would be sub-settings that can be toggled depending on the needs? So, there would be a one-tap toggle and if a user wants to disable something specific he could chose what to enable/disable.
Vlad Honcharenko This is not data saver anymore. Website fidelity is similar but not the same idea. trick is to keep data saving simple. These probably need to co-exist as two separate settings (where data saver would jsut use 0.1 setting for fidelity for example)
