        What happened? How did it happen? What are the steps to replicate the issue.
        When I open a new tab in focus mode, I have to hit cmd+L in order to start typing in the address bar.

        What did you expect to happen? Describe the desired functionality.
        If I open a new tab, I just want to start typing the destination immediately.

        What version of Orion are you running?
        0.99.125-beta

          heisznberg Ok great. I just purchased lifetime yesterday so maybe I should just be using RC all the time then.

                I couldnā€™t find another thread addressing this issue, but Iā€™ve encountered a similar problem even when not in focus mode. This has been happening on both my Mac and iPad. Every time I open a new tab, I have to press cmd+L to start searching something. Iā€™m using a Magic Keyboard on iPad, if that matters.

                iPad version: 1.3.10
                Mac version: 0.99.127-beta (WebKit 619.1.1)

                    I am also experiencing this issue regardless of the ā€œfocusā€ setting. Iā€™m on an iPad running latest iPadOS (18.3.1) and latest Orion (1.3.17). It honestly makes Orion almost unusable. Excited to try it, but this is aggravating.
