Super Professional Mockup™ of what Orion for visionOS could look like.
Realistically, I would imagine the best route to take is to expand the iPadOS app even further, and then port the iPadOS app to visionOS.
What is your estimate, how many people will own a $3000 headset?
Vlad Not enough to throw significant developer hours towards porting to visionOS. However, the few that own it are likely tech enthusiasts and would fit into Kagi’s target audience. It would be cool to see Orion be the first 3rd-party browser with visionOS support, and could give the project publicity.
Overall, the reasonable route is to wait until the tech is more established and the APIs are revised. I would wait for Apple’s next iteration of the headset.
I've been using the ipad version of Orion on my Vision Pro. It's not bad, but I would love a native version.
I paid for Orion Plus Lifetime, and subscribe to kagi search. Love what you guys are doing!
