Not Exposing URL to 3rd Party Autofill Service (Strongbox)

Not sure if this is a known bug, but to my knowledge I have not found people reporting it.

In Safari, Strongbox can automatically find the entry of this website:

But in Orion, I can only click the button to open and select the strongbox, and then I have to manually enter the url information to find the username and password. I don't know if it's possible to make it work like in Safari.

defacto macOS does not allow direct access to native Keychain passwords, you have to go through the flow you described. macOS limitation, not Orion.

Orion on iOS correctly suggests entries from Strongbox. Getting it to work on Mac may involve the official extension. Note that autofill is a paid feature in Strongbox.

defacto Yes to our knowledge we can not pass the URL to it, I'll let @dino confirm.

I’d contact Strongbox and see if they can get the extension working on Orion if possible. The developer is very responsive.

Vlad Yes, we can't expose current URL to system autofill extensions, as we don't have access to those extensions due to macOS's policies. Only internal apps are allowed to have access to those autofill extensions.
