I am unable to reproduce this using the link in your video:

Does this happen on a fresh Orion profile as well? File -> Profiles -> New Profile

Wasn't there a similar issue on which I had commented with the same problem? maybe a merge is in order.

laptudirm #7450 was an issue for everyone using that particular rc build, this report is about something more inconsistent.

Reposting my findings here:

if you open the console after opening the link (when its still blank) the console shows errors

after the reload, these errors remain:

Comparing with the errors for people who didn't need to reload the viewer, after the reloads the errors match up, but before the reload there are those unhandled promise rejections which aren't experienced by people who don't have this bug.

still fails to load PDF with latest Orion RC

This is an issue that's been present in Orion for quite a long time:

When loading any PDF from a link, Orion fails to load the PDF and just shows a blank viewport until the page is reloaded where it then displays the PDF.

Expected functionality: the PDF shows first try and doesn't show a blank viewport or require a reload to work.

esiayo Hey! There have been some reports about this, but we still have no consistent ways of reproducing the issue. To verify, could you confirm whether the following steps result in the same issue on your device:

Create a new Orion profile via File -> Profiles -> New Profile
Go to https://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/tests/xhtml/testfiles/resources/pdf/dummy.pdf

Replicated twice, and WebKit Inspector shows these console errors:

Tried everything I could, Remove all Extensions/New Profile/Delete ~/Library/Application Support/Orion/Defaults/Reinstall Orion, none of them works.

trying @laiz's steps that result in the issue, it seems to consistently work now without the need for refreshing, my current orion version is 0.99.133-beta (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4)
