Brief Summary
At the moment a password for example.com:8080 is saved under the website example.com. for domains where there are multiple services on different ports sometimes with the same username this gets annoying quickly. for some i have manually set the port in the website field in the password manager
My proposal is that the port is included in the url when a password is saved

Details:
This is a huge (imo) improvement for people that deal with multiple applications running on a single host
Chrome currently does this

Future Behaviour:

Chrome's behaviour(does the same as my proposed solution):

    Steps to reproduce:

    • add multiple logins to Orion keychain for the same IP address but with different ports (for example for different services on a local server)
    • access one of the services (it's been happening for port 80/no port specified for me)

    Expected behavior:
Orion should take the port stored in the keychain and suggest the appropriate password first. If the IP is accessed without a port specified, it should suggest the appropriate password (either one that has port 80 specified or no port). In the attached screenshot both root and test would be appropriate choices. "Test" has port 80 specified in the url of the password, "root" has no port specified. "Hannes" has a port for a specific service listed in the password URL.

    Orion, OS version; hardware type:
    Version 0.99.123.3-beta (WebKit 615.1.16.1)
MacBook Pro M1 Pro (macOS Ventura 13.3 build 22E252)

so ur reporting the bug that its suggesting passwords from other ports?
i don't think that any browser has this feature, bc i don't believe passwords are saved per domain+port. i think the the ip/domain is the only thing that filters which passwords are chosen

        a month later
Merged 5 posts from Keychain doesn't suggest correct password for auto-fill when multiple passwords are saved to the same IP.
