Fortrikka Colored tab chrome is a feature simple to implement and can be made an option buried in some obscure area deep within the settings
TwisterMc Allow Orion's toolbar and tab bar to use the current websites accent color as the background color. https://useyourloaf.com/blog/safari-15-theme-color/ This should be an option users can enable as I know some do not like this.
TwisterMc Vlad Everything matches the color of the current site. So if you have 5 tabs and you're on orionfeedback.org the browser toolbar and tabs are all orange. If a website doesn't have a color set, then you'd default back to the color Orion is today.
fin The only thing I am really missing from Orion is Safari's implementation of the colored tab bar depending on a website's dominant colors when it is in its compact tab mode (which is another thing I would like to see but I heard that is being worked on).
Kai iOS 15 and Big Sur added bar tinting to Safari, it would be neat if Orion did that as well: https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/safari-macos-turn-off-website-tinting/
Kai Is it? Cause safari is doing that on mobile as well I think. Never seen FF or Chrome do that tbh. https://useyourloaf.com/blog/safari-15-theme-color/
Kai Vlad sure it should be that I think: Normally it’s not green (in Orion it’s white and in FF nothing either) so I assume it’s said feature. Not at a Mac atm so I can’t look at the source to confirm 100%
Kai Vlad Yeah just checked, it’s tinting 100%, it’s an option in the safari settings and when turned off the green is gone. According to the article it’s the theme-color but I’ve also seen stackoverflow threads that had different attribute names
emvaized I think it would look especially great with vertical tabs on the side! Hope it lands some day
