At least to me, it would make sense if muted tabs would also have their notifications muted. For example, sometimes I don't want web.whatsapp.com to notify me. In these cases, I mute the tab but the notification is still making noise.

What do you guys think about muting both, the tab's content and its notifications?

    no, mute tab is for muting audio
    you can disable notifications in settings

      eirk I don’t think they want to disable the notifications from that tab, just that the notifications shouldn’t be allowed to make sound
