Steps to reproduce:
Every time i watch a stream on Twitch
Expected behavior:
Comparing watching stream with Safari and Brave browser, i can hear a more bass heavy and full sound. In orion it sounds almost robotic/thin/echo-y.
Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Orion 0.99.123.3, Ventura 13.2.1, 14 inch macbook pro, M1 Pro
I just tested this with a random Twitch video using Orion, Safari and Brave. I can confirm that Safari and Brave sound exactly the same but Orion's sound is slightly different. I can't put my finger on exactly what the differences are, though.
are you streaming at the same quality? in all browsers
I just recorded a sample of a Twitch video played in both Safari and Orion, inverted one of them (which will cancel out any identical data, leaving only the difference), and played back the resulting audio. I can't hear anything besides some occasional little clicks (and the loudest of these is at -60dB, which wouldn't be audible, so must not be what you're talking about).
Is it possible you're playing back the video in Orion at something other than 1x speed...? That seems unlikely given that two people are both reporting this, but it's the only thing I can think of at the moment.
I am using exactly the same hardware and software as funkmaster-fl0w.
tuesday Its not appearing to be any sort of faster, my quality settings is also the same.
Its not a problem for youtube videos and other media players ive tested, seems to just be Twitch but only with Orion..
Made a discovery, having "Enable Content Blockers" checked seems to be messing up the audio. Unchecking it and CMD+R fixes it completely.
Edit: Sadly this breaks the Cookie confirmation window covering a large portion of the website. No ability to press "Accept Cookies" and make it go away..
