Currently the URL bar menu text is linked with the search engine being used.

If a custom keyboard shortcut is used, then any change to search engine will break the shortcut. Ideally, there would be another search engine agnostic menubar command for accessing the URL bar.

    It sounds like you're just trying to focus the address bar? You can do this with File > Open Location…

      Might still be worth putting something generic like "search" but happy to close the ticket

          RaviPatel For what it's worth, both Safari and Chromium use the same "Open Location…" terminology to focus the bar, and all Mac browsers I'm aware of use the same default keyboard shortcut. 🙂
