Expected behavior:
For instance, like Safari does:

you certain you have the right screenshots? because 'google search' is a search engine so this doesn't make sense

portastar I think what the OP means is that there is an ugly, empty area under the search bar.

portastar I have disabled search suggestions on both browsers, and in Orion below search bar there is strange empty area. Probably, it would be great just not to show it this area, or make something like Safari does

ah sorry I take that back then. and mm yeah in that ccase you have my vote too

We should not show the area if there are no suggestions.

Could you please let me know which version of Orion you are using?

            Orion 0.99.123.3-beta (WebKit 615.1.16.1)
            macOS Version 13.2.1 (Build 22D68)
            MacBookPro18,3

            Steps to reproduce:
Go to the address bar and start typing something. If you started typing something that matches a suggestion, and then added letters that made it no longer match, the suggestions bar below the address bar will remain (as an empty bar). If your address bar text never matched any suggestions, then no blank bar appears at all.

            Expected behavior:
Search suggestions appear when relevant; when the text no longer matches any suggestions, no additional bars should appear.
