- Create a new tab, start entering a URL
- Realise you need to look back at a previous tab quickly before you finish typing the URL, so click outside of the URL area to view your tabs again
- Lose what you had been typing in the URL bar, since it has been erased when focus was lost.
Safari behaviour is to retain entered text (even on a new tab that hasn't navigated to any page) in the URL bar on a per-tab basis, including when switching between tabs.
