As a user, I’d love to be able to mark up pages and create annotations using my Apple Pencil on iPad. I believe Microsoft Edge had a similar feature on Windows prior to switching to Chromium.

This feature request is similar to a request John Gruber has for Safari:

I think this would make for a great addition on Orion as well.

alicerunsonfedora Please suggest full specification of the feature. How is it activated, how does it work, how does note management look like. Do not make us think 🙂

Vlad Respectfully, I don’t think that’s something that I should be doing as a user. I’m suggesting a feature here, not providing an entire roadmap for how to implement said feature. I don’t think that’s something a user should be expected to do.

I totally get that the development team for this browser is incredibly tiny*, and that development resources are scant. On top of that, I totally understand the frustration on not having a guide for how a feature to be implemented; I sometimes experience that frustration myself as a developer on other projects. But, as a user, I can’t really provide that roadmap or specification proposal, because I wouldn’t know the inner workings of how a feature like that would work. And I don’t think John Gruber from the Daring Fireball would, either.

*This is actually part of why I’ve decided to start using Orion and Kagi lately, given my current stance on the web.

alicerunsonfedora That is understandable. Providing full or at least an outline of the suggestion, helps speed up the process. I don't use the bottom-right Notes (and have no Pencil) and thus I have slim chances of understanding the nuance of satisfying a user need like this (and the product management team is - me). If I was to spec this out today I would probably get it wrong, resulting in frustration on both ends. What I have is 1,700, better speced, open issues on this forum hence asking the users to do a bit more work.

But hey, we can ask @gruber for at least some guidance!
