Vlad It’s a built-in shortcut in iOS. Press and hold home button and power button on older devices or volume up and power on newer ones. This isn’t something Orion could implement because it’s handled by the OS.
Ability to take full page screenshots natively
ForumNinja404 Right I was aware of the screenshot combo, it seems that when done in Safari it surfaces extra stuff (didn't know that). If the extra stuff is needed I suggest you open a new post for that @laiz
Vlad When I first posted this, I didn't that Orion had implemented this differently i.e. via the capture screen method. I searched for "screenshot", and everything that appeared was related to the desktop app, not mobile. I say It feels unintuitive because of Safari's implementation, you only need one action (press 2 buttons). On Safari, it's a one-stop shop for everything I'd want to do with a screenshot, granted that I didn't know that it only exports as pdf, not as jpeg.
The Orion way assumes you already know there's a menu on the favicon. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just different and might add more steps to a workflow. I'd imagine most of the people who come to Orion, have passed through Safari and therefore are accustomed to some Safari gestures and workflows.
Vlad The real question is, since the ability to take full-page screenshots is already there in Orion, albeit in a different location, will Orion build on its already existing capture page menu option and integrate markup tools there, or will you opt for a Safari-like implementation? If so, do we create a new suggestion separately or do we continue here?
PS: I don't see why to take a normal screenshot, you do one thing, but to screenshot an entire page, you do something else or go elsewhere entirely, that's why I'd prefer the safari implementation.

There is a system implementation of screenshot feature on iOS. This works the same in any app. But safari adds extra functionality to it that other apps can not do.
Our screenshot feature is made in a way to always capture the entire page because you can get screenshot of what is visible on the screen at anytime with a standard system screenshot tool.
One thing I can ask you is to expand our open source documentation at help.kagi.com/orion to make it easier for people to find about favicon menu and screenshot tool. You can click edit icon to edit any page of the documentation.
Firefox 109 added this 2 weeks ago, with markup support. Here’s a link to the GitHub issue with relevant comments and pull requests. https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-ios/issues/9138
ForumNinja404 Thanks. What does it look like in Firefox, and does it save PNG or PDF?
Vlad Saves as PDF for full page.

So do people prefer Orion's full screenshot that saves as NG or you want' Apples with editing but saves as PDF?

Vlad
If we want to mirror Safari we should do PDF w/ Markup. Sometimes PNG is nice too.
We could also make this an option in settings
similar to “Save PDFs as” there could be “Save Captures as” so the user can choose.
This request was about PDF markup missing so we should add that either way.
ForumNinja404 You can chose to filetype with built in iOS saver. It is going to be PDF. So either Orion full page save as PNG, or iOS with with editing tools saving into PDF.
Vlad PDF editing tools would be preferred.
just to clarify, firefox now has the exact same full page screenshot capabilities as safari.
video of firefox:
Hello. Thank you for this great browser.
En IOS En safari cuando haces captura de pantalla te da la opción de guardar toda la página en formato PDF.
Estaría de gran ayuda y utilidad que introdujeseis esta opción.
Muchas gracias
