Can't close sidebar without side bar button on toolbar

There should be a close button in the sidebar area or something. It's annoying.

George You can also add the Sidebar button which toggles sidebar to your toolbar. (right click toolbar -> customize toolbar)

Menu bar -> View -> Hide sidebar
