Not able to reproduce this. Have you tried removing extensions?
I don't have any extensions installed. It happens for me in a new window as well as a new tab. It also happens after quitting and restarting Orion.
Have you tried compatibility mode already?
samuelstevens Maybe it is Catalina specific issue. Can you record a video with keystrokes?
We should probably disable Cmd - L toggle on start page anyway
I noticed that keyboard shortcuts work once opening a new tab, and that CMD-T works.

I'd prefer that you don't disable it (if at all possible). I use it sometimes to select the entire search bar again if I want to select all the text in the search bar mid-query.
No because the gear for compatibility mode is disabled on the new tab page.
Happens to me often - after opening new window I type something in the address bar, want to correct, press ESC, field loses focus, I press CMD-L - shortcuts stop working (even things like CMD-W or CMD-` to switch to other Orion window).
Vlad I can reproduce it on the other Mac. It simply seems that whenever I press ESC to bail out of the address field, it loses focus… but also the whole window loses focus - even though top Mac menu bar still shows Orion is the active app, none of the keyboard shortcuts work. But if I click on the visible window once again with my mouse, it brings it back and shortcuts start working.
I don't know if that's related or entirely separate, by when opening a new window via CMD-N, placeholder in the address bar is duplicated. It's pretty much the same as this bug, but not only when "spamming", it's the default state: https://orionfeedback.org/d/896-spamming-w-causes-double-address-bar
Attaching a diff from the "Copy Debug Info" on both. The one on the right is the Mac that has the problem.
Done (cannot reproduce)
