Steps to reproduce:
Test video, please beware if you're fan of RE franchise as this is a playthrough of the lastest DLC released.

During playback, erratically, video quality drops to 480p and this happens even when pausing playback and returning after some time.

I have not tested compatibility mode.

Installed extensions: uBlock Origin, Return Youtube Dislikes.

Expected behavior:
I'm expecting the browser to maintain the selected video quality and remembering when returning to watch a video from YouTube history. Possibly, but not vital, a more reactive page display would be welcomed.

Version 0.99.121-beta (WebKit 614.1.20)

    EdwinLand macOS/WebKit will sometimes do this to preserve battery. You should be able to reproduce the same in Safari.

    You can try enabling Develop-> Experimental features -> VP9 Software decoder on battery
