The mobile app seems to create many start page tabs in the course of using it, as compared to Safari, that I end up pruning from time to time. I understand that this is really anecdotal and subjective and may not apply to everyone.
Extra tabs might come from edge cases like opening links that end up being redirects to another app or links that download a file and that is it. I've never noticed an over abundance of blank tabs in Safari, so it makes me wonder if Safari closes or reuses blank tabs on purpose to cut down on the clutter, or if it has better handling of the edge cases I mentioned. Or maybe simply, I've never noticed it in Safari.
Thanks
