Yeah, this is critical for me to adopt Orion as my personal web browser.

(I'm currently using Orion for work, since my work Mac isn't connected to my personal Apple Account or phone anyway, so losing this capability isn't a regression in my workflow.)

I work on Mac software, and auto-filling codes from Messages Just Works™ in text fields in our app once we set the contentType appropriately, but they're native text fields and not web content...

In Safari on macOS, the autofill will show you the one-time code received from SMS on your iPhone.

Having this feature from Safari would make login verfication more convenient.

So far I have been loving Orion and have to commend you for your awesome work on this browser for Mac! I'm new to the Apple environment (switched from Samsung and Windows to iPhone and Mac). I have been able to work through many of my woes or learned I liked the Apple method better after getting used to it, etc... with Orion helping a ton where it concerns the web browsing on Mac!

Although, this is a +1 to get the 2FA code from iMessage for easy pasting into Orion. I can currently pull up the message and type it in, but the automatic copy and then click to paste is so convenient! With the short time I've used Apple at all, much less the Orion browser, this is the only thing I can think of as an improvement so far (at least off the top of my head).

Like @KaiPrince mentioned, the feature from Safari to "Fill code from messages" is a game-changer and currently the only thing Safari has that is better than Orion.

It would be awesome if there is a way to implement this into Orion, assuming Apple has exposed the necessary API to allow this to happen.

I completely agree.
This and also extracting 2FA verification codes from emails (like Safari now does).

I don't know any details beyond this article, but it looks like macOS Tahoe is opening this up to third-party browsers:

Was just about to post that! From the comments of people on the betas it seems like it just automatically works if you're on macOS Tahoe, and there's no API or special attribute to implement for 3rd party devs.
