When signing into my Fastmail account at Fastmail.com, my inbox never loads, and the the site displays the loading animation forever. This site works as expected in Safari.

Things I've tried that haven't made a difference (have tried all at once):

  • A brand new Orion profile with no extensions
  • Enabling compatibility mode
  • Switching user agents

Expected behavior:
Able to see e-mail inbox once signed in at fastmail.com

Orion, OS version; hardware type:

  • Orion Version 0.99.119-beta (WebKit 615.1.1)
  • macOS Monterey Version 12.5.1 (21G83)
  • MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021) - Apple M1 Pro

    segfault interesting, I know I've loaded Fastmail in Orion before and it worked. I just tested now and can confirm that it does not load.

      Could be WebKit related, and might start working in the next update of WebKit

      For what it's worth, I'm able to load and use FastMail in Orion normally as of this writing. I can both read and send email. Perhaps this was a temporary issue that has resolved?

        segfault I'm on the same version of Orion with slightly older OS and CPU. Not sure that would matter.

        Are you getting any Console errors on the FastMail web page under Develop > Open Console?

            marclafountain I see Content Security Policy-related errors in the console with compatibility mode disabled, and no errors in the console with it enabled.

                Hmm. I see that FastMail sets a Content Security Policy header in their web interface “which ensures that only scripts we've written can be run.” But, I don’t know why that policy would think an unapproved script is being run if you aren’t running any extensions.

                Perhaps Vlad’s earlier point about this being WebKit related is correct. If so, sorry for adding any confusion!

                  In my case, fastmail has been working (though with some issues in terms of performance and automatic mail checking) for months until this morning. Site does not finish loading and no errors are shown in the console.

                    I have had the same problem since week ago (haven't tried before that). On Safari Fastmail works.

                    All requests are 200 OK (there are 2 fewer requests compared to Firefox).
                    No JS errors in console - I don't see Content Security Policy-related related errors neither compatibility mode enabled or disabled.

                    If someone has suggestions on what to try either to resolve the issue, or get more information, I'm happy to do some tinkering!

                      Lets try with the new version with different WebKit (coming out today)

                      I got it to work with these steps:

                      • update Origin to Version 0.99.120-beta (WebKit 614.1.20)
                      • clear cookies and localstorage
                      • log in again

                        Does anyone else has issue with fastmail?

                          Confirmed working after updating to Version 0.99.119-beta / clearing cookies / logging in again.

                          I think I'm still seeing this on 0.99.120-beta (WebKit 614.1.20). I've tried nuking cookies, removing the associated index db and local storage, but I seem to get the same splash loading screen without any console messages.

                            I'm also still having this issue on one of my machines but not the other, not sure what the difference is... I've tried on both 0.99.120-beta and now 0.99.120.1-beta and still can't get it working after clearing cookies.

                              Still not able to reproduce. Just logged into Fastmail, on Ventura using latest Orion, clean install no extensions.
