Steps to reproduce:
Open Youtube for example, SCROLL!

Expected behavior:
Shouldn't drop a 1000 frames, Safari is super smooth.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
M1 Macbook Air (base), Monterey 12.5.1

Same here, experiencing stutter on many sites and youtube is the worst. Twitter, Techpowerup, Verge, Engadget all stutter when scrolling.

    Macbook Air M1 (8GPU), Monterey 12.5.1

Vlad I can see the jitter quite well in the video (although less pronounced as we are not interacting with it).
Did you watch it in 60 fps?

Vlad You can clearly see the stutter, just play it in 60fps and it become more promonent. It is not just that this browser is doing it but based on Webkit, if safari is smoother then this should be on par.
And comparing to other browser, chromiuim based (Chrome) is the wrost I am attaching all the brower test i have done and for most part it is MacOS problem as well because stutter happens on Apple apps to.

Firefox: It is the smoothest till date.

          Safari:

          Chrome:

          Apple Music:

          Apple AppStore:

            Steps to reproduce:
Enter this page and scroll: https://jakaoferta.pl

            Expected behavior:
The scrolling is very laggy. And the Mac itself heats up to 60°C.

            Orion, OS version; hardware type:
            Version 0.99.119-beta (WebKit 615.1.1)
            MacOS 12.5.1
            MacBook Air M1

              Steps to reproduce:
Just scroll through the page on any site.

              Expected behavior:
Scrolling feels jerky. I tried to show it on video. Yes, the difference is not big, but it is felt.

              Orion, OS version; hardware type:
              Version 0.99.119-beta (WebKit 615.1.1)
              MacOS 12.5.1
              MacBook Air M1

              Image/Video:

Merged 1 post from Super laggy scrolling.

I am not able to reproduce, scrolling appears smooth to me. Are you using any extensions that might affect it?

Vlad No, just built-in trackpad. By the way, I partially fixed this problem with the SmoothScroll extension.

Are you using any extensions that might affect it?
                    Only uBlock Origin.

Lets check in the new version that comes out today

Merged 8 posts from Scrolling is not as smooth as in other browsers.

Vlad Just update to the newer version and the stutter/lag is still pesent and still not smooth as it should be.
Even using this site is laggy at time especially as I am writting this and start scrolling the page it stutters and scrolling isn't smooth.

taranbeer I am not able to reproduce. Scrolling appears to be the same as in Safari (when using Apple mouse)

Vlad I am posting the videos comparing the lastest Orion Build to Safari and FireFox. If you watch them in 60fps you can see that Orion lags much more than Safari and Firefox.

Even after the latest safari update to 16.0 it still lags behind Firefox in terms of butter Smooth scrolling.
