Outlook.live.com, WhatsApp (and some other sites) sometimes don't load

Still an issue with outlook webmail when logged in on the latest Orion Version 0.99.121.1-beta (WebKit 614.1.20).

I am wondering if this has something to do with redirects? At least the outlook webmail does a lot of redirects before actually opening the webmail.

Furthermore, it seems that its mostly an issue when the Outlook webmail session is expired and has to be reestalbished.

Not sure if any of the above will give more insight - but that is at least my findings/ideas.

During my regular browsing with Orion, I have noticed that there are a handful of sites that don't work properly or take a considerable amount of time to log into, ie. they hang for up to a minute before loading.

Notably there are two that hang after logging in:
https://outlook.live.com
https://authentication.mbna.ca/uap-ui/mbna/?consumer=msec&locale=en_CA#/uap/login

In addition, there are some banking sites which have 'button' issues. For example, the button to pay a bill will show up as this in the status bar:

It does send you back and will not allow you to complete payment.

Content blockers all off or on makes no difference and these sites work normally in Safari and Brave.

If there's a way I can help troubleshoot this, I am happy to do so!

This is on an M1 MacBook Air running Ventura and I also have an Intel MacBook Air on Big Sur I can use to test for comparison if that is helpful.

I've tried Outlook and even though I have a bunch of installed extensions on Orion, the webpage loads without a hitch and very quickly!

crnd99 Thank you for testing that. I also tested it this morning and although the first time loading it hangs at "Continue", subsequent loads are fast. Odd.

Steps to reproduce:

Open WhatsApp Web (that's it)
Neither using compatibility mode nor clearing cookies solves the issue, and Safari (as well as other browsers like Vivaldi) seems to work fine.

Expected behaviour:
WhatsApp Web to load normally.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Orion: Version 0.99.119-beta (WebKit 615.1.1)
macOS: MacBook Air (macOS Ventura 13.0 beta build 22A5331f)

The website is stuck like this and loads infinitely.

I don't know if it's related (unlikely, but it seems coincidental), but Telegram Web also has problems loading; the QR code for login does not load and logging in via phone number also loads infinitely. Like WhatsApp Web, compatibility mode does not fix it.

Just pointing out that while https://web.telegram.org/k/ doesn't work, I can get https://web.telegram.org/z/ working!

Interestingly, both of them are working now. I have no idea how I fixed it, but I suppose I may have accidentally tampered with some settings previously. Also, niemenmaa is right - the Z version of Telegram Web does work, whereas the K version doesn't.

same situation here, https://web.whatsapp.com takes ages to load. Most of the time it gets stuck, and sometimes successfully loads. Any other browser load that page very quickly as usual.

Just tried with the new version of Orion, having the same issue unfortunately. It is worth noting that if one wait long enough (more than 2minutes) the website would load, but sometimes with an empty interface:

Sometimes whatsapp web just don't load at all, shows loading screen.
And when it works, it works a bit i don't know how to explain it but I feel like its gonna stuck anytime when I click something.
For example
if you hover any message and click this button for the message actions, the menu loads glitchy, it loads but it takes time and the animation is broken.

bootecia You did not indicate if you tried compatibility mode? Also can you record a video of the experience ?

Yeah, it's still broken. Took around 5-6 seconds to load, but all web elements are broken. Trying to do so again results in Orion not loading the website (gets stuck).
