Steps to reproduce:
I have installed:

  • LastPass (mostly not working)
  • Descentraleyes (I haven't been able to determine if it is working)
  • Video Download Helper (not working)
  • PureVPN (not working)
  • WindScribe VPN (not working)

Expected behavior:
I would have expected the extensions to work as they do in Firefox or Chrome, but they are not working.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
I am on MacOS Monterey 12.2.1, Orion 0.99.113.1.

    LastPass works for me, but I had to install it via the Chrome store. The extension via Firefox didn't work.

      mrpeperoni Extension support is experimental. When making a bug report do it for one issue at a time.

              Latest RC has the same problem.

              Edit: Using Edge under User Agent got around this.

                    Vlad I appreciate your update and feedback on the project. I commend your efforts to improve this product, but I urge you to address this issue as soon as possible. This issue prevents us from using third-party extensions, which limits our options and flexibility. Some third-party extensions may offer features that are more suitable for our needs than the official one.

                        extension suport isn’t made per-extension but by implementing each api individually so some stuff just wnot work well yet

                                eirk I did not know that, I thought a bug prevented the extensions from working. Take Brave as an example ( Although it is built on chromium thus it is stupid to take that as an example but oh well )all the extensions work. Now that you have informed me i understand how hard it is. Thank you for informing me. I am sorry if i seemed rude in my previous posts but had no intensions of implying that you guys and not working hard enough.

                                    OmPatel Brave took Chromium and it took exactly zero effort for extensions to work.

                                    Orion took Webkit and it takes enormous effort to make extensions that were never meant to work in WebKit, suddenly work, processes that we have been doing for the last 4 years.

                                        I have downloaded the return YouTube dislike extension and it doesn’t work. I’ve updated that app, restarted it, deleted and reinstalled the extension and downloaded from both chrome and fire fox. I don’t think this is on my end can you please fix this? Thanks

                                        I expected the extension to work as expected and show the YouTube dislikes. And the extension was on. I love this app but this sucks when some extension don’t work

                                          iOS support is still (very) experimental and restricted by Apple. Most extensions do not work. There isn't much the developers can do, and focusing on an individual extension does not seem like a good use of time.

                                          I'd also like to point out how unbelievably rare it is that there is a browser for iOS with the ability to install some webextensions.
