Steps to reproduce:
Use the option "Show Bookmarks" in the "Bookmarks" menu, observe the visible sidebar, then use the option "Hide Bookmarks Sidebar" in the "View" menu, observe that the sidebar is no longer visible. Now open up a new tab and observe that the sidebar is again visible. Then notice that doing these steps in reverse ("View" menu option and then "Bookmarks" menu option) has the proper outcome of no visible sidebar on the new tab page.

Expected behavior:
All options that show/hide the sidebar should provide the same outcome of visibility.

GreyAsteroid Orion follows Show/Hide bookmark instruction on the start page. Even if you temporarily hide the sidebar, if show bookmarks is on, it will show on start page. This was requested previously and how safari used to work. What do you propose?

Vlad Considering that I don't think I would have figured that out if not for you telling me 😅 it should probably be a bit more intuitive.

How about either specifying that it's for the start page in the menu "Show Bookmarks on Start Page" or maybe adding "Bookmarks" to the start page context menu/config menu instead?
