Today I was in a forum and saw a link of an image and thought it would be cool to have a preview of images link when mouse hover similar to tab preview

mtt Very rarely is a image referenced by a link. Most of the time it is shown as an image.
This is something that should be achieved with extensions. The browser is just interpreting the webpage and rendering it as is. As convenient as it may be, this suggestion would break site expectations.
Having a more generalized option, a website preview on hover, would be cool
