VPN Extensions Not working
I confirm Windscribe does not achieve to load.
Windscribe has started loading correctly now which is great (icon still doesn't appear on the toolbar) but the actual functionality doesn't work. As in my IP never actually changes. but the FF and Chrome extensions work in those browsers respectively just fine.
using the latest beta (Release 0.99.123-RC - Jan 20, 2023) vpn.ac does not work:
Chrome extension installs but does not even pretend to connect, nothing happens when connecting
Firefox extension installs and says connected, but the IP does not change and blocked sites are still inaccessible
This still does not work, at least for Torguard.
The extension loads and appears semi-functional, but the UI is cut off vertically, and when it thinks it is on, it isn't proxying.
Windscribe's extension installs and authenticates, but it's unable to actually connect. The power button shows it's enabled, but it's unable to see the changed IP address. Checking manually also shows the host IP address.
Same here
Steps to reproduce:
Just installation of windscribe or any browser vpn extension and trying to connect. The ip still the same and doesn't change as expected <Include steps to reproduce the bug; Did you try using Compatibility mode (https://help.kagi.com/orion/support-and-community/troubleshooting-webpage-issues.html)? Did you try using a clean Orion Profile? If applicable, does Safari behave in the same way?>
Expected behavior:
Change the device ip to another ip

Sent a few dollars to sponsor this issue. I really want VPN support on Orion. (Didn't include a note because I keep forgetting that button...)

- Visit https://windscribe.com/signup to create a free Windscribe account (you'll get 2 GB to start without email, 10 GB if you verify your email). Will be good enough to test.
- Visit https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/windscribe-free-proxy-and/hnmpcagpplmpfojmgmnngilcnanddlhb to install the Windscribe VPN extension to Orion.
- Click the Windscribe extension in the menu bar.
- Sign into Windscribe with the credentials you created through the website signup page.
- Click the big power button to try to connect.
Nothing will happen.
On Brave Browser, the extension works flawlessly.
As is mentioned by lots of members, the proxy feature is the only drawback for me to daily drive orion.
So is there any progress related to the implementation of Proxy APIs? Thanks
The Proton VPN extension doesn't work on Version 0.99.129.2-rc (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4). The Firefox extension won't authenticate and the Chrome extension fails to make a VPN connection.
