      I am also getting random freezing that occurs very regularly. It happens on all sorts of sites (Gmail, GitHub, Chrome Extensions page). I have done a clean install and this happens with and without extensions installed.

      Version 0.99.113.2-beta (WebKit 613.1.12)
      macOS 12.3 (M1)

      P.S. This same Orion version works fine on another Mac (also 12.3 with an M1).

      Also getting random hickups and freezing with 0.99.113.2-beta on M1. Suspect it’s coming from longer use/multiple open tabs for Github issue pages, since I don’t have anything else open than the intranet site I’m working on, which is a quite simple Rails app which only uses jQuery and Rails-ujs. When looking at Activity Monitor, Orion is working at 60-90% and it seems that the busy thread is the main thread since typing is slow and jittery.

        I, too, have been experiencing random freezes. On Version 0.99.113.2-beta (WebKit 613.1.12) and the previous version. (M1 MBP, macOS 12.2.1)

        I can't say with any authority if there is a pattern to why it happens or when it happens, but along with the Apple mouse scrolling issue, together these issues are making the Orion experience too chaotic at the moment. Too nascent to use as a browser just yet.

          @Electronic_Cost I'm interested in one of your comments. You have 2 M1 Macs with identical set ups (same version of Orion and same version of macOS) and Orion is fine on one Mac, but freezes on the other. Is that so?

          How can that be so? There has to be some difference i.e. screen size, amount of ram, connected peripherals etc.) Can you go into more detail, please?

            Just experienced additional hang ups while downloading bigger videos files. At the same time I’m copying lots of files from an external SSD, so the internal SSD is quite busy. Could this be a problem with file reads blocking main thread? There was a noticeable hang when opening downloads popover.

              FYI, Just experienced this while working with huge Google Sheets.

              It occurred almost every time I work with Google Sheets.

                While there seems to be a lot of anecdotal evidence, it is not really helpful as we need exact steps to reproduce the problem in order to debug and hopefully fix it.

                    SukinoVerse I'm experiencing this now, also while using Google Sheets I believe... Orion tends to use around 4-8% of my CPU, and then it will suddenly spike to 102% and completely freeze for a few seconds...

                    Edit: Not convinced this is a google sheets issue... Maybe something to do with the fact that I have lots of tabs open in different tab groups? I wasn't experiencing this issue before the latest update

                        belacmu Can you reliably reproduce this? If so can you try Develop -> Empty cache to see if that helps?

                            I'll give it a shot, but it actually might be simpler than I thought... I had noticed before the update that if I had a few too many tabs open it would craaawwwl to a stop, freeze for multiple seconds now and then. I noticed in the update to the tab groups that there was one that wasn't "active", which meant that my other three groups were all active, or I guess, running but just not visable. I disabled the tab groups I wasn't using, and it's seemed normal since
