  • Full screen toolbar only half-visible when menubar is set to always show in full screen

  • BugsDesktopDone

Steps to reproduce:
(1) In macOS (Monterey) System Preferences -> Dock and Menubar
Uncheck: Automatically hide and show menubar in full screen

This is so that even in full screen mode, the menubar is always visible

(2) Make an Orion window full screen

(3) Orion does go full screen, however: the toolbar is half-visible, half-hidden, and I do not see the menbar

Expected behavior:

I expect to see a full screen Orion window with the menubar still visible on top.

Screenshots below compare Firefox and Orion in full screen.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Orion 0.99.111-beta (WebKit 613.1.12)
macOS 12.2
Mac Mini M1

Firefox (correct behavior, menubar and toolbar fully visible):

Orion (menubar not visible, toolbar half visible):

Screen recording:

Also if I enable toolbar to be always visible in fullscreen, it's better, but the menubar still leaves a blank space at the top until my mouse hovers in that area, instead of always being visible.

With horizontal tabs it looks a little bit better, but I still should be seeing the menubar instead of the tabs, on top:
