In Firefox, there is this feature, that when you begin your search with an asterisk you search through your bookmark names.
It would be very cool to have a similar feature, because currently the search bar shows the bookmarks only on the bottom and I didn't find a way to skip directly to the "Bookmarks and History" Section of the search results to quickly access them.
Bookmark search from search bar
Good idea. Modifiers in order to search different types of categories would be good.
To describe my use case a little bit better, In Firefox I create bookmarks with very short names (like aliases on the terminal), then I can quickly type a bookmark name and press enter without even looking at the results. So this is currently not like a search for more, but more like Spotlight on macOS (but not to open applications, but to open bookmarks in the browser real quickly).
I actually don't need a feature to search only for sites in my history or reading list from the search bar, because I search for those so rarely, but maybe other users do.
But accessing bookmarks in the search bar like apps in Spotlight is really essential in my daily usage of my browser.
Ok, last I checked this option was not available or I didn't find it. The invocation keyword is exactly the thing I need. Sorry to open an extra suggestion.
It would be even better, if I could set this invocation keyword at the time of creating the bookmark. But I found, that this is already an issue of its own here: https://orionfeedback.org/d/1600-add-url-invocation-characterkeyword-fields-to-add-bookmark-dialog
So this issue can be closed then. Or you can take over, if you want to add a feature for searching in bookmarks, history or reading list only. I'm happy with the invocation feature. Thanks
