Steps to reproduce:
Install LastPass extension from Firefox add-ons

Expected behavior:
LastPass extensions functions as I'm used to in Firefox and Edge browsers on this same macOS.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Orion Version 0.99.111-beta (WebKit 613.1.12)
macOS ver 11.6.2 (20G314), MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)

Image/Video:
Here's how the extension appears when I click on it, to try and login.

<Copy/paste or drag and drop to upload images or videos (up to 20MB)>

Also the chrome extension is not working, it shows the login, I was able to login successfully, but if I re-click the extension in the toolbar it stills reprompt for login.

fed9 I concur. I tried the Chrome extension after the Firefox extension did not work for me, and it is not usable. It appears to hang at showing the safe/vault icon.

I won't be able to continue using or evaluating Orion browser until a LastPass extension is functional.

Is there any way to know the prospects for this. It is a show stopper for me as well.

By the way, I think LastPass had some issue with Safari where they released a stand alone program on Mac OS. I can't say I understand. But I think Safari uses that program, not strictly a plugin.

They call it an "app extension" but it seems that a traditional extension does not work with Safari, so that may be applicable to Orion. Hope this tidbit helps.

I'm not a fan of storing passwords in a browser, as it limits it's existance to the specific browser (even if it's cross platform)

It's super annoying having to have the desktop app open, search, edit, show password, copy and paste to login to everything, which is also insecure as your having to show the password onscreen.

Would be great if this can be resolved, currently i'm saving passwords in the browser - but will clear these once this is fixed.

Note you can export passwords from Orion at any time.

What I ended up doing as a stop gap solution, was export from lastpass into keychain, export to get compatible csv, import into Orion. Doesn't specifically help with new accounts however, but better then having todo it for every website, until required API's are supported.

Same issue here. It's a bummer because one of the main reason that I'm interested in trying out Orion is actually so that I can use the chrome / firefox version of the Lastpass extension, which unlike the Safari extension, does not require installing a standalone program...

pluskid I know, there are about 1,500 other 'bummers' on this site for us to solve. Too bad everyone doesn't have the same bummer so we can easilly fix it 😉

Works for me with chrome extension.

koaie That had not worked for me previously, will give it another go. The fields do not get the three dot drop down of available logins, but if even clicking manual login works, i will take that.

Great! Can you clarify whats in next release? LastPass fully functioning?

                            • Vlad replied to this.

RobOK Hopefully, but since we do not have a specification of what 'fully functioning' means, at least the issue reported here is fixed.
