ICloud Passwords Extension Not Working on macOS Tahoe 26.5

Hey!
I am having trouble reproducing this issue; iCloud Passwords works perfectly for me (installing, unlocking, autofill).

I know it's a chore with password managers, but is there any possibility you could share a video of you reproducing the issue? If that is unfeasible, please consider sharing screenshots instead.

Hi @flex thanks for reporthing this. We can't reproduce it, I've tried it on google and it works perfectly fine for me there. Couple of questions:

is it google only? Is there matching credential available for it?
Can you try other sites to narrow down the issue you facing?
what exact version of extension you're using and which flavour (chrome/firefox)?

The issue I encounter on all login pages,
I am using a Chrome extension, but I also tried uninstalling and installing the Firefox extension, but the problem is not resolved,
This morning, I saw the new version of Orion 1.0.8, I updated it, and I just tried again but it still has errors.

I just tested on some sites like apple, google, gitlab.com, github.com, login.microsoftonline.com, and gitlab.com and github.com are working normally, while the rest are all errors.

With GitHub and GitLab pages, clicking on the iCloud Password extension icon in the menu bar shows a list of passwords, while error pages display as in the image.

i'm not sure I understand what are "the rest". Would you be able to specify pages we should look into to reproduce issues you've got on your side?

If you implying google.com and idmsa.apple.com - i've got 2 questions:

do you actually have a saved credential for google.com / accounts.google.com in iCloud Keychain. If yes does it work with same extension in google chrome and does it work in safari with native passwords app?
does "Loading passwords…" eventually finish on idmsa?

Hi Orion Team,

I really enjoy using Orion and it has become my primary browser on macOS. The performance, WebKit compatibility, and overall user experience are excellent.

However, there is one issue that significantly affects my daily workflow: the iCloud Passwords extension does not work reliably in Orion. Since I rely heavily on iCloud Passwords across my Apple devices, this compatibility problem makes it difficult to fully switch to Orion despite how much I like the browser.

I understand extension compatibility can be challenging, but I would greatly appreciate it if the team could investigate and improve support for the iCloud Passwords extension. For users deeply integrated into the Apple ecosystem, this is a very important feature and one of the few remaining blockers to adopting Orion full-time.

Thank you for all the work you put into Orion. I genuinely enjoy using it and hope this issue can be resolved in a future update.
