Frozen/greyed out passwords pane

When trying to access and select passwords from Orion's Apple Passwords integration, the pane is greyed out and passwords are unselectable. Only text can be entered or deleted. To exit the pane, one either has to press the esc key or force-quit Orion altogether. See a screen recording of this behaviour below.

I am able to reproduce this.

In the meantime I can recommend the iCloud Passwords extension. The experience should be significantly smoother (dare I say flawless) with it.

Go to any website that requires login
Click on the little key icon in the right side of the form field
Select Password Providers from the dropdown
Then click on Passwords...
You will likely be prompted for passcode/touch ID so authenticate with that
Now it will show you the list of passwords but the entire menu is greyed out and you can't click on anything
Can't close out of this menu and can't quit Orion with cmd+Q

I can recreate this issue. The entire thing is greyed out and you can't interact with it at all.

@moisterrific you can just press esc to close it and get back to the page.

Last time I checked Orion (pre Tahoe) the feature worked alright

+1 on this too, I'm on Orion 1.0.3 and MacOS 26.3 Beta (25D5101c), password popup appears but is greyed out and I cannot interact with it except for typing into the search box and dismissing with escape.

I too began encountering this; it worked before but it had not been my primary password manager, so I do not know when it started.

The behavior has been consistent and has persisted across reboots and the 26.1 to 26.2 update.

I use KeePassium as a password/passkey manager. It previously worked. After upgrading to macOS Tahoe, the third-party integration stopped working (but on the same version of Orion). On Tahoe, I see the option to auto-fill with my password manager, but after selecting it, the password manager window flashes and then closes and the password field remains empty. I've confirmed that it continues to work as expected on another computer still running Sequoia.

I expect to be able to select the password manager provider from a password field and to have the password automatically populated.

bsidhom Unfortunately some changes with new macOS 26 broke that support, but we are still checking for any possible way to fix this. In the meantime you can use iCloud Password Chrome extension to access that.
