YouTube playback issues - Videos won't open/load on click & says "This content isn't available, try again later."

Not sure if this is a real bug or if the ad block lists of the embedded content blocker have an issue.
When this setting is in the "On" state, YouTube shows this. Switching it to off fixes the problem.

This does not work for me either. Tried to turn off content bockers, extensions and even tried to clear a cache - still facing the same issue.

YuriySamorodov I also disabled this, but it had no effect. So I guess both settings need to be disabled.

Extension ublock origin, still works.

I mentioned the UBO issue in that thread too for historical reference from this past fall, but current UBOlite in safari/chrome and UBO in firefox worked (and still work) for me without this issue so I said it wasn't a UBO problem. hm

The team is aware of the issue and I am currently testing a dev build with youtube ad-blocking improvements. I haven't been able to reproduce this issue on the dev build. Hopefully the next release isn't too far off.

dino Yes looks good 🙂. The above issue is fixed and it's at least as good as the safari youtube experience now. (small asterisk)

While this is on my mind ill mention a semi-related nit in case it's somehow fixable.

There's a bit of a hang when going directly to a youtube video in a new tab. like paste this video in the new tab address bar and hit enter.

For me the video takes 3+ seconds to load / become playable (identically long in safari w UBOlite though). In firefox with UBO it loads ~instantly. I did try using UBO in this orion RC too just to check and there's no improvement, so maybe it's webkit.

The hang doesn't happen when navigating to videos in normal site usage / when already on youtube site though, so we should be happy enough. 👍

I’m still experiencing the same issue on the new build 1.04 (143) for macOS. For context, I’ve updated the content blocker and I’m running YouTube as a web app. It’s not fixed for me.

Did you try deleting the web app and making it anew? not sure if that would make a difference but I'd try it.

finally with the latest update the issue has been resolved.
but another issue still persists - prime video - unable to see the video when the video is playing but can hear the audio being played, and the time stamp is moving

I updated to version 1.0.4, and the problem was only fixed in the standard YT video view, but the problem still persists when videos are played on the YT mini-player.
