In Safari you can choose to clear download history either manually, on quit, or on completed download. I'd like to see that here as well. I prefer to have downloads clear on completion, personally, but I think a preference setting would be nice.
It's nice to have a menu keeping track of longer downloads, but if all you are downloading is a few images it's needless clutter.
