None of the proxy configuration extensions like Proxyfy for Chrome or Firefox work in Orion. It would be great to have a native proxy option in the browser itself, similar to Firefox’s container feature.
A native per-tab or per-container proxy feature would let users route specific tabs through different proxies without affecting the whole browser. Examples of use:
- Work vs Personal: Work tabs use a corporate proxy, personal tabs use the normal connection.
- Testing & Geo Access: Developers or analysts check websites from multiple regions in separate tabs.
- Privacy/Security: Sensitive sessions like banking or crypto accounts can be isolated behind a proxy.
Firefox implements this via Containers + proxy extensions like FoxyProxy. Orion could extend its existing tab/container system by adding a “Use custom proxy” option per tab or container, giving users flexible, built-in proxy control without external tools.
