I rely heavily on the Tab Groups extension in Firefox. One feature that I've found especially useful is the ability to move tabs between tab groups using keyboard shortcuts. I can configure this shortcut to my liking in the extension's settings page.
In Firefox, the workflow goes something like this:
- I'm on a tab that I'd like to move to a different tab group.
- I press the shortcut to move the tab, and a navigation menu pops up: (I've blacked out my tab group names)
This is similar in style to the control+tab tab navigation menu currently in Orion. - From here, I can use my arrow keys/mouse to select the tab group that I'd like to move it to.
There's a similar workflow (attached to a different keyboard shortcut) for moving between tab groups:
I know Orion already has shortcuts for switching between different windows (command+option+1/2/3/etc), but I prefer pop-up navigation windows as I have quite a few tab groups and I always forget which window is bound to which number. For the same reason, using command+tilde to switch between many windows is fairly inefficient.
If nothing else, I would like to configure the shortcuts for switching between the different windows (command+option is not my favorite set of modifiers to press).
I realize this might only be useful for power users like myself. However, since all the UI is hidden away behind keyboard shortcuts, at the very least it won't be confusing to new users.
