Update Error

When I click on "Check for Updates...," I get this: {A box with the title "Update Error!" and then the text "An error occurred in retrieving update information. Please try again later. A button on the bottom says "Cancel Update."} I have gone so far as to reinstall Orion and it's still there. It happens on all profiles. It started a week ago without updating.

The expected functionality is that it works.

download https://cdn.kagi.com/updates/26_0/138.zip,
replace the Orion.app in your /Applications with it,
run Orion.app, and
check for updates,

do you still get the error?

Hey russell! We spent a bit of time troubleshooting this with one user on Kagi Discord. Clearing the app cache etc. yielded no result. What ultimately solved the issue for the user in question was restarting their Mac. In the event that you haven't already tried that step, could you see if that solves it for you as well?

For good measure, the other steps that were taken were:

Checking if https://cdn.kagi.com/updates/26_0/appcast.xml opens as expected
Clearing Orion app cache from ~/Library/Caches/com.kagi.kagimacOS
