Github in-page links don't work

Example 1:

Open https://github.com/kagisearch/kagi-docs
Click on "Knowledgebase Map" in the table of contents
The page scrolls to the appropriate heading and them immediately refreshes.

Example 2:

Open https://github.com/kagisearch/kagi-docs/blob/main/README.md
Click on "Knowledgebase Map" in the table of contents
The page scrolls to the appropriate heading but the URL does not update to include the anchor name

This happens in Orion Version 0.99.137-beta (WebKit 623.1.8.0.0), with or without Compatibility Mode.
This does NOT happen in Safari Version 18.6 (19621.3.11.19.1, 19621) or Chromium 141.0.7390.122.

In the first example, the correct final URL is "https://github.com/kagisearch/kagi-docs?tab=readme-ov-file#knowledgebase-map". Orion does not change the URL.

In the second example, the correct final URL is "https://github.com/kagisearch/kagi-docs/blob/main/README.md#knowledgebase-map". Orion does not change the URL.

Cannopt replicate this with Orion RC 0.99.137-rc (WebKit 623.1.8.0.0) on macOS Tahoe 26.0 (Build 25A354)
Are you getting the same behavior witjin Incognito / In-Private mode?

Can't replicate it either (clicking on the link does not reload the page), but using back/forward does load the page again for no reason - that doesn't happen in Chrome or Safari.

Hmm, it's now working for me in all configurations. GitHub must have fixed this one themselves.

@deseven the back/forward behavior does happen in Chrome as well, the first navigation. After that it works. Likely has to do with ?tab=readme-ov-file being added/removed from the URL.

When I was experiencing this problem, I notice that it was related to how GitHub uses the History API to set ?tab=readme-ov-file, and that was causing issues in Orion but not in Safari.
