Please make this app not make our phone batteries drain so much

I really love this app and it has potential. But the main big takeaway is the app DRAINING my battery (and probably others too) I disabled Background App Refresh and created an Apple Shortcut to make it so that when I open the app, Low Power Mode will turn on and Bluetooth will turn off when the app is opened and when the app is closed, Low Power Mode Turns off and Bluetooth turns back on again. And that helped by a substantial amount. But the high usage of the app from my phone’s battery in settings showed that it was at 24% before and went up to 34%. I used the app for a couple of seconds more and it went up by one percentage. 35%. This app desperately needs an update so that it won’t be draining so much of my iPhone’s battery and for other’s as well. And of course, the chrome extensions are a HUGE advantage and that’s what I really love about this browser that sets it apart from others. It’s fast, simple, similar to Safari and is really good in terms of speed. 33.2% speed score from speedometer 3.1? Yes please! It’s WAY faster than Safari AKA (Also Known As) Apple’s built in web browser for all Apple Devices which in my opinion slow as hell. To the developer of this app, this web browser is AMAZING but PLEASE roll out an update to make this web browser not sucking and guzzling up my iPhone’s battery and for other’s as well. Thank you and have a good day. 4 Stars. I would give 5 stars but until the battery eater problem is fixed, 4 stars.

And also, when I use this web browser, I can DEFINITELY notice that my phone gets nice and warm when using the app. With Low Power Mode turned on, I think it helps maybe by a substantial or significant amount but that doesn’t matter if the app is going to drain my battery anyways.

Hey, I see you're on the developer beta, I'd imagine it's possible this is part of the problem. Did you notice any issues before joining the iOS beta? Are there any specific sites you have noticed that cause/exacerbate the problem?

RoxyRoxyRoxy I didn’t use the app before the beta and as for websites, I’m not entirely sure as far as I know.

AshtonLol 26.1 RC should be out this week so it may be worth testing to see. I have not noticed this issue on my 26.1 beta device. Are you using any Chrome or Firefox extensions on your Orion install (which are still in beta IIRC)?

Do you have example sites that heat up the phone that I can test and see if also happen to me since I'm on the same beta cycle as you?

(And FWIW for my iPhone 14 Pro, Safari 26 and 26.1 are actually faster than Orion)

Dustin I only use two extensions. The Violent Monkey chrome extension to install Return YouTube Dislikes as a user script from the Return YouTube Dislikes website since the Return YouTube Dislikes Extension doesn’t work normally with the Orion Browser but it works perfectly with the user script but without it, for some reason, it prevents me from seeing the dislikes counter. And I’m not entirely sure what websites heat up with the Orion Browser as far as I would know.

Have you tried disabling ViolentMonkey (just temporarily to rule out it causing the heating)
