Older versions of Orion RC - and my current regular Orion install - previously had what I can only describe as a non-floating sidebar for vertical tabs. Content was never painted underneath them - instead, they were simply part of the browser UI and content was resized according to the amount of available real estate.

It is only as of their redesign for macOS 26 Tahoe that the panel has been made to look like it floats above the content, which depending on the layout of the page can result in losing the ability to view some of it.
I would rather not have my web browsing limited to what functionally amounts to a number of whitelisted websites the Kagi team have personally reviewed and potentially made tweaks to on a per-site basis. A browser featuring a design where UI elements obscure content is one I have no use case for.
